Our Story

Grand River was founded in 2020 — quite possibly the hardest year on record to start a small business. The world had just gone quiet under lockdowns, and supply chains were a daily guessing game. But families were living, working, and cooking entirely at home, and appliances were running harder than ever. That is where we found our beginning.

Our first service area was simple: Kitchener and Waterloo — the cities we already called home. We answered calls ourselves, drove our own vans, and built a reputation one repaired fridge and one honest conversation at a time.

A year in, demand from neighboring communities pulled us into Cambridge — a natural step across the Grand River. We grew carefully, hiring only technicians who shared the same standards we had on day one. In early 2026, we expanded once more, opening service in Guelph.

Today we are fifteen technicians strong, but our way of working has not changed. We still pick up the phone, still show up when we say we will, and still treat every home the way we would want ours treated.
