— Most Common Samsung Issues —

We Can Help If You Have:

Refrigerator Not Cooling

Start by checking the temperature settings — bumped controls are surprisingly common. Make sure the condenser coils at the back aren't covered in dust, and confirm the vents inside aren't blocked by food. If the compressor isn't running at all, it likely needs a technician.

Ice Maker Not Making Ice

First, check that the water supply valve behind the fridge is fully open and the line isn't kinked. Inspect the ice maker arm — if it's stuck in the "up" position, production pauses. Try resetting using the test button; if nothing happens, the internal motor or valve may be at fault.

Washer UE/UB Unbalance Error

This code means the load is unevenly distributed. Pause the cycle, redistribute heavy items so the drum is balanced, and restart. If the error repeats with normal loads, the suspension rods, shock absorbers, or drum bearing may be worn — a common Samsung front-loader issue requiring service.

Dryer Not Heating Up

Clean the lint filter and check the external vent for blockages — restricted airflow is the most common cause. Confirm the dryer is set to a heat cycle, not air-fluff. If air still runs cold, the heating element, thermal fuse, or thermistor may have failed and needs replacement.

Dishwasher LC Leak Code

The LC code indicates the leak sensor has detected moisture in the base pan. Cancel the cycle, unplug the unit, and tilt forward slightly to drain residual water. Check the door gasket, hose connections, and pump seal for visible leaks. If none are obvious, the sensor itself may need replacement.

Display Panel Unresponsive

Power-cycle the appliance by unplugging it from the wall (or switching the breaker) for five minutes — this resets the control board and clears minor glitches. If buttons stay frozen after reboot, the issue is likely a failed touch sensor, control board, or ribbon cable connection requiring service.

Recent Samsung Repair Case Studies

Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator — Fresh Food Not Cooling

Diagnosis: Failed evaporator fan motor blocking cold airflow from the freezer side to the fresh-food compartment.

Action: Installed an OEM Samsung replacement motor, cleared the diagnostic codes from the Family Hub display, and confirmed both compartments stabilized at set temperatures within the hour.

Samsung Front-Load Washer — Recurring UE/UB Errors

Diagnosis: Worn spider arm assembly behind the inner drum and degraded suspension dampeners — a known weak point on Samsung front-loaders after 6–8 years of heavy use.

Action: Replaced the spider arm and all four dampeners with OEM parts, then recalibrated the balance sensors. Ran two test cycles end-to-end to confirm steady, error-free operation.
