— Most Common Whirlpool Issues —

We Can Help If You Have:

Dishwasher Flashing Clean Light

A blinking Clean light is Whirlpool's universal way of flagging a fault — most often a failed heating element or water temperature sensor. Run a diagnostic cycle by pressing the High Temp button three times to reveal the specific code. Heating issues need a technician to test continuity and replace parts.

Washer F06/E01 Motor Error

F06 or E01 points to a motor control or drive system fault on Whirlpool front-loaders. Power-cycle the washer by unplugging it for ten minutes. If the code returns, check that the motor connector at the rear isn't loose. Persistent errors usually mean the motor control unit needs replacement.

Refrigerator Clicking Sound

A repeating click every few minutes typically points to the compressor start relay failing — it's trying to start the compressor but can't sustain it. Pull the fridge away from the wall and unplug it. The start relay clips to the compressor and is easily replaceable by a technician.

Dryer Won't Start or Click

If pressing Start produces no click or response at all, suspect the door switch first — make sure the door is fully closed and the switch clicks when you push it. Check the household breaker. If still silent, the thermal fuse may have blown, or the start switch itself has failed.

Oven F1 Error Code

F1 indicates a fault in the Electronic Oven Control board — the brain of the oven. Cut power at the breaker for ten minutes to attempt a reset. If F1 returns when power restores, the EOC board has failed. Replacement is straightforward but requires matching the exact model number.

Duet Washer Door Lock Failure

Duet door locks are a known weak point — the wax motor controlling the latch wears out. If the door won't lock at cycle start or won't release at the end, unplug the unit and check for objects caught in the latch. Persistent failures mean the door lock assembly needs replacement.

Recent Whirlpool Repair Case Studies

Whirlpool Gold Series Wall Oven — Recurring F1 Error

Diagnosis: Failed Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board after multiple breaker resets — common after years of heat exposure causing solder joint degradation on the relay section.

Action: Sourced the model-specific EOC replacement, transferred custom settings, and verified all functions — bake, broil, convection, and self-clean — cycled through without errors over a full test sequence.

Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer — Completely Unresponsive to Start Button

Diagnosis: Blown thermal fuse combined with significant lint buildup in the exhaust path — the fuse blew protecting the motor from overheating caused by poor airflow.

Action: Replaced the thermal fuse with an OEM part, cleared the entire exhaust system from drum to vent hood, and ran a full cycle to confirm normal heating and complete cycle progression.
